Featured Replies

Just done an indicated 45.8 mpg on a 300 mile run to Scotland.. Pretty pleased with that. 1.8 Is also great fun on these Scots roads. 2nd and 3rd gear still make me smile ...

join the club!!

Just bought a 1.8 TSI Scout. (New car thread to follow soon)

Blackburn to London yesterday at 41.5 mpg.

Pretty pleased. Sitting somewhere between 70 & 80 mph - allegedly.

Remap it and get another 10% better mpg

Tempting .... The only thing that puts me off is :

1) Cost of Remap

2) Increased insurance premium

I only do about 6k miles a year and it would take me a long time to recoup that 10%.... The extra performance would be nice but I'm looking for the right  V8 Dax Rush so the Scouts performance is adequate.

Ah yeah, forgot the Brit Insurance scam

Enjoy it as it is, a cracking car :)
