Scout exhaust gas pressure sensor fault P2454

Featured Replies

I have had the exhaust warning light appear on the Scout:

and, using a friends scanner, have the code P2454 - DPF differential pressure sensor fault:

after a search for for sensor location, I believe that it is located here:

https://flic.kr/p/oCeAEP

If this is the correct sensor, examining it shows that there is one pipe coming from what I believe is the DPF, and one that is open to the air (marked with a red line on the picture):

This seems curious, as the circuit diagram I have found (from here: http://www.volkspage...ssp/SSP_336.pdf) shows it as a closed circuit with a pipe from each side of the DPF:

If this ISN'T the correct sensor, could someone possibly show me where I should be looking, as I'd like to be sure that it isn't a faulty connection before changing it.

(copied from the diagnostics forum, as I haven't had any joy in getting a response there)
