Yeti spotted in Cambridgeshire, might need drying out

Featured Replies

I'd just put that in the Yeti Spotting thread - I hope they managed to drive out of it ok.

We've had five hours or so of near continuous heavy rain, with more heavy showers before that. I've never seen as much lightning - we're still getting the odd flash still.

I say he'd (or she) be OK. Water was within safe limits :)

That's well within the fording limits.

Also seen this on BBC site, wonder if the owner is on the forum, better get wellies out as more heavy rain forecast for Sunday.

That may very well be, but I would not have tried it - "coward" I hear you all cry

I would not venture into that depth of water as you have no idea what is underneath.

On the A22 in Whyteleaf, many a time during heavy rain, manhole covers have become dislodged bringing cars to a grinding halt and presenting dangers to public.

Yes I've seen heavy iron manhole covers popped up by water from flooded drains, leaving wheel-size holes in the road.

Let someone else go first and follow their tracks!

I was not condoning his behaviour or anything else, I was simply saying that the depth shown where the car is placed is not up to the stated fording depth of the vehicle.
