Mk4 Golf Seats into 5J Roomster - AIRBAG light on :-(

Featured Replies

Posting in here for greater audience.

Met up with Clive (NZ100) today to try and extinguish an airbag light that has appeared following a seat swap to some rather nice Golf mk4 numbers.

Clive will be along later with some pictures of the connectors, but the result is I'm not able to clear the fault codes with VCDS and it generating the following fault codes.

   Coding: 20789
   Shop #: WSC 33361
   VCID: 2756EBBFC58BE226FAD-50C8

2 Faults Found:
01218 - Side Airbag Igniter; Passenger Side (N200)
            32-10 - Resistance Too High - Intermittent

Any pearls of wisdom to put Clive and I out of his misery?

Yeah unplug them and buy the recaro airbag kit.

Thanks, good idea, save alot of hassle. I would need two kits nearly £80, I only paid £50 for seats. Got from ebay two resistors with P&P for £5, does the same job.

Dragging an old tread up but what size resistors did you use?
