I'm new to BRISKODA, just traded a Honda Civic in for a new Octavia. Currently awaiting delivery.

Expectations are high, Honda had continually frustrating warranty issues!

Will be looking at forums, and will contribute my Skoda thoughts when car arrives.

You won't be disappointed with your new Octavia. I got mine on 1st Sept, still grinning now. It's s joy to drive. What spec are you getting? Also how long do you have to wait for it? I waited 14 weeks, but it was well worth it.

i swapped my Integra Type R for the Octy vRS and i'm not disappointed - enjoy it.

Insurance is half the price so its not all bad

I test drove mine on Tues, put my foot down and thought fook me this is quick, very impressive!

Even more so when i'm used to 240bhp!

It was a 1.4 hatch. Needed new front dampers, steering rack, body shell re-spot welding, drivers seat came loose 3 times, air-con condenser started leaking etc etc etc.

My son had a type R, had no problems, but saw the light and swapped it for a Seat Ibiza 130 tdi. Plenty of go, but has a ride like a wheelbarrow. Halved his insurance.

I'm just going for a 1.9 tdi Ambiente spec. No waiting at the moment, has 3 in stock. Choose colour tomorrow.
