Vanity Plates

Featured Replies

The wife won't let me, and I've no desire to spend £799 on it in any case... but if anyone expecting a post-1st September delivery is bothered, GB64VRS is up for sale on the DVLA website.

Of course, 'GB' might not stand for much a couple of weeks later if the Scots vote yes (and no, I'm not trying to start the debate on here... please don't!).

Hmmm... When I got my 1.4 TSI in March TS14OCT was available for £399 still, I felt it was car related and NOT personal to me so, why buy it ?

Granted if its your long term car maybe but not in my case or it would seem yours either Wiggo

If it had been quite a bit cheaper, I might have been tempted just for the hell of it.  Would have been a set of plates to sell with the car though - as you say, not personal in any way.

I often thought that personalised number plates were a bit naff but being probably the last new purchase I would make I thought "buggerit!', make it personal and sod the expense. I'm glad I did it. RY14 RAB. Oh, and the car's a right cracker as well.

Your last name isn't Nesbitt, is it?  :giggle:

I bought my first vanity plate for my vRS - VR5*WOW.  As the car's in green, it looks nice but I was probably a bit daft to spend money on a plate.

£799 is a bit steep - you can get a plate from the DVLA ending in VRS for £250.

NE14 ABJ is still available I see! Or SU64TIT might be worth a search?!  :D
