How are your door seals supposed to sit?

Featured Replies

Came to the vrs yesterday and theres water sitting inside the seal on certain doors, but on every door the rubber sits slightly different.

On some it sits over the interior plastic and on others it sits below..how are they meant to sit?

Depends on the plastic in question. Though at the bottoms of the doors, it might help a minor amount f they're over the plastic sill mouldings.

Obvs the main issue is leaky doors. Make some curtains for them if you can't get them fixed in the meantime. Sheet of plastic and clothes pegs or powr duck tape etc.

well im unsure on whether its the doors this time, because the service history shows the rear doors being re done in 2010 (ish) so they shouldnt perish this early on should they?

At the minute i removed the lip and pushed it under the plastic surround as during the heavy rain it acted as a sort of bridge to allow the water to run down onto the rear footwells and the front drivers seat runners
