I have only had this car since March this year and have spent an absolute fortune on this car to get how I like a car to look.

After selling my 60 plate octavia vrs to release some money to the bank I purchased the fabia vrs off a fellow forum member.

The car has done 119000 miles with full service history. The first 105,000 miles was reached by the first owner who did a 160 mile round trip every day as an air traffic controller all on the motorway. Journey was 2 miles to motorway and then all the way to the airport so never out of top gear.

Car is on original clutch and the point is like a new clutch with the biting point being down near the floor.

If you see the odd post of mine I have had :

a full proffesional respray with all handles door rubbers grills lights badges bumpers etc etc removed.

As new reconditioned 17" spider alloys done by metal magic in Barnsley highly reputed.

Brand new 215 x 40 x 17 tyres done less than 700 miles.

Brand new rear bearings as I thought they were gone it turns out it was the tyres and front brakes.

Brand new rear mintex discs and pads.

Brand new recon audi tt red powder coated calipers and brand new ebc discs and pads and spring clips. bought from ebay from the guy who sells all the full recon sets for £275.

Brand new set of d2 racing coilovers with adjustable damping £650 Really quite comfortable as I have reduced damping.

Brand new mark2 badges all round

Brand new Miltek cat back exhaust

Shark stage 1 remap 170 bhp 300ft lb torque

Brand new cupra splitter

Brand new fog lights

As new front headlights as you will see in one of my posts after polishing.

Front grill and chrome section painted in two pack gloss and laquer along with number plate plinth.

Brand new gearknob and gaitor

Car has 10months tax and test.

The car really is stunning with only three tiny stone chips.

FSH and belt and tensioner etc done by skoda at 75000 miles in November 2010.

Oil and filter just changed with Mobil 1 0/30 oil

Brand new wipers all round and wiper arms painted gloss black

Also gps style aerial from Germany.

the car wants for nothing.

Only done 1000 miles since all this was done.

Private reg will be removed if I sell

All usual se refinements including cruise control and car will come with original stereo and the multichnager is till under the seat, plus the head unit that is in at present which is a 7" touch screen blue tooth, USB, DVD,cd stereo which is fully set up with hands free microphone etc etc.

Car pulls rally well but return fantastic mpg.

Car is stunning and rally is one of the best you will find and I have seen a few. Only selling as I now require 4 wheel drive as new house is on quite a hill.

Hi there,

Yes I do have the standard springs and shocks but not the standard alloys.

I didn't, necessarily price the car to take into account the mods. It was more a case of you have brand new high quality suspension under guarantee brand new braking system front and rear, brand new wheel bearings, brand new in essence wheels and tyres as only done 700 miles as have all the other mods/new parts. Plus the paintwork that is brand new.

I presumed someone may pay a premium for this over say spending £1000 less and having a car covered in stone chips, suspension that has done 100,000 miles tyres that are half worn, wheels that are kerbed, brakes and discs that are half worn etc etc.

Hi Ollie,

No offence taken at all matey, and I was only stating the reasons why the price is probably higher than the same spec similar se. Brand new professional paint and all the rest has to make the car the car worth more than the same mileage car with perhaps original paint and suspension etc.

I am open to very near offers

Would I be better taking all the bits off and putting back to standard such as exhaust front brakes and exhaust? Plus sell/ swap wheels?

Sadly modded ones don't sell hugely well, money wise you're probably best off putting it to stock and then selling maybe leave the Octy spiders on it!

GLWTS, I ended up buying a higher mileage car myself but not an SE. As you said before with the money and effort you have put in whoever gets the car won't have to spend anything on it which makes it quite a good buy. Looks lovely hopefully it will stay in the club.

No not after a px I could look at selling it for £4500 with the pipe off stereo suspension to standard and standard new discs and pads instead of thee tt set up.

It will be going on ebay in the next few days at a fixed price with all the mods.
