Water in fuel, how to get rid?

Just to update this incase anybody has a similar problem.

We used the stuff from Halfords as suggested previously in this thread and put a new fuel filter on and emptied that a few times.

Just as we were about resdy to give up on it, it seems to have sorted itself!

Mums been using it for work as normal and a few runs out and it hasnt missed a beat in a few weeks.

WINNER! Good old HTP!

.. But she still wants a new one...

Tell her tough! The HTP is the best engine in the range IMO ;) I've even got one sat outside in a shed :)

I wouldnt disagree!

But jt is 8 years old now n she fancies buying something nice with the hard earned. A new polo is at the top of the list atm. With a tsi 90 if i have my way.

If i had the time, money and space i would! Would be awesome.

Iv always liked the polo gti of that era. Its the one to have with the 1.8t isnt it, non of this twincharger rubbish

1.8T :) it's not too expensive once you've got the donor car leave it up at work ;)

Itd be cool. But iv no need for a half powerful car anywah. Itd just take up space aha.
