Skoda Sport Clicking on full lock

Featured Replies

I've just bought a 58 plate Skoda Fabia Sport with the 1.9 105bhp TDI engine.

On full right lock there is a clicking/metal springing noise, not all the time, and I can't narrow down when this happens.

The dealer I took it to to do the cam-belt and water pump says it could be the disc back-plate catching on the disc?

Any other thoughts?

Sounds similar to the quiet click iv got on mine atm.

I can only hear it with the window open n its not steering related.

Im gonna see if i can see anything when the weather brightens up abit.

I'll let you know if i can

I've just been under the car and looked.

It is the very tip of a bolt touching the disc back-plate (as the garage said).

I need to "adjust" the back-plate when I have a replacement locking wheelnut key!
