Climatronic periodic defect

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

Before asking the mechanic (again) i thought i might try asking you guys in here. I have a 2010 Fabia Combi Greenline (1.2) that has some periodic issues with the Climatronic. It seems that sometimes when i start the car the a/c pump doesn't go on, in some periods more often than others. For the last couple of days it hasn't worked at all. I asked the mechanic at the last service about a month ago, and he regassed the a/c system. I got the impression that it helped a bit, but as i said it seems to have gotten worse now. Do you have any ideas to the cause of this?

I know is a vague description, but hope you can help me out a bit. Thanks!

does your radiator fan kick in at all?

I have just been to dealers regarding a/c system. They have ordered me the pressure switch which I am hoping to get fitted next thursday if all goes well.

Thanks for your answer!

Yes, the fan kicks in, but it seems that the a/c system isn't aware if the compressor is running. If it's hot outside the fans just keeps running on max as if the system thought it was cooling down the car.
