Sun blind for rear screen on Hatch

Featured Replies

Hi,

Hoping someone can help. We've done quite a few car journeys recently with the dog in the boot. It's obviously been quite hot, as the sun is shining into the boot as no parcel shelf. Dog is panting and must be uncomfortable. Open windows and turn air con on full for him (not at same time!) However, at 70(ish!)mph on a motorway open windows are noisy. And after a while, air con on full blast makes the front seat folk feel rather giddy! And the cold air doesn't really seem to make it to the back...

How can I block the sun out of the boot? I was hoping there would just be a blind I could attach to the interior somewhere, perhaps roof or boot and just pull it down and secure when required. Something that would block the hot sun out but perhaps just give me some limited rear visibility, does such a product exist?! I've tried looking online but can't find anything...

Thanks in hope :)

Thanks John, I did see these but thought they look a little pricey and I only really want just the rear screen, not side windows. I doubt he'll sell separately...? And like you say, a lot of dosh not knowing what quality is like.

Cheers guys. That's a good idea actually Mike, never thought of just a normal tint. Will look into this, just liked the idea of a blind as dog only goes in car max once a week whereas a tint is always going to be there and potentially limit my rear visibility all the time...
