Engine cutting out at speed

Maybe so, but whilst he is driving around trying to emulate the problem, there is a very real possibility that he and his family or some other motorists will be killed. Many car software systems are safety critical (as in aircraft) and should not be able to fail in an unsafe condition. Mechanical failure can also have serious consequences, but this is offset by probability of failure within a specified time, usually requiring items to be serviced and changed within specified limits. In no way should driving style ever result in a catastrophic failure, i.e. Death, due to faulty systems.

I've told Skoda UK that I will take legal action against them if I as a result of this problem I am involved in an accident and they just say that is down to me.

At the moment I am driving with stop start switched off for a week or 2 to then with it back on again for same period of time. It is a possibility that the stop start is cutting in whilst the vehicle is moving and that's why no fault codes are stored because it thinks it's working in its operational parameters. This has been discussed with the dealer but not Skoda UK as they are currently ignoring me.

When the engine cuts out there are no warning lights or messages appearing on any of the vehicle displays

How many times has this actually happened?

If SUK continue to wash their hands of it, I think I would be tempted to seek legal advice on this one or excerise your option to reject the car, immediately. It is completely unacceptable that you should be put at risk whilst they determine what is causing the problem. It's also unacceptable that you have been advised not to use systems for which you have paid.

Don't both with the SUK customer services front door. If computer says no, you'll get no where. Escalate to the top to get attention.

This has happened in excess of 20 times and the disappointing lack of interest SUK are showing frankly disgusts me. At the moment I'm struggling to see how SUK do so well in customer satisfaction surveys when I've been treated this badly....... Surely I'm not the only one?

I am currently driving with stop start switched off but using ACC and after 1 week the engine has NOT cut out. Only problem is I've now got to drive it with it on to see if it then cuts out again.
