mulitfunction steering wheel

Featured Replies

hi, I've just purchased an Octavia elegance 2.0 tdi estate with a multifunction steering wheel, does anyone know how to get it to work with a mobile phone as I was told that you could go hands free with it. also on a different matter, my last Octavia 1.9 tdi used to take an age to get warm in the winter, i'm assuming it was because it was a diesel which don't run as hot as a petrol model, so i'm assuming this one will be the same, so was wondering if anyone had fitted anything to help speed up the heating in the winter months, or am I stuck with it. thanks.

Does you MFSW have a picture of a phone on it? (Should be on the left at the top IIRC)

Do you have a Bluetooth module fitted?

It's quite likely the latter that is the issue.

hi, I may have been a bit miss led here, as the symbols on the left of the steering wheel are, double arrows up, double arrows down, a speaker symbol with a line through it, and a steering wheel with a bulb symbol on it. ??

Sorry. My mistake. Sounds like you are correct and my memory is failing...

You should have this wheel (taken from another thread on here):

how would I know if I had a BT module fitted, where would it be ?

Should be under the drivers seat.

Can you make phone calls at present? If not, I doubt you'll have a module fitted.

just checked under the seat, nothing there so assume that I don't have one. thanks anyway.

You can add it yourself for about £130.

How it works with the steering wheel, I don't know.
