does anyone know of a way to change the colour of the back lights in the cluster?

 

reason is i borrowed my mates bora tdi it has the same clocks fitted but had blue back lights and i liked the look they gave

 

can this be done easily to the Vrs?

Are you handy with a soldering iron? You need to change the LEDs mounted to the circuit board.

As we're on the subject, does anyone know the size/model number of the LEDs? I'm planning on changing mine, but not sure which ones to buy

Plcc- 2 3528 is the type you need
