Hi , Fairly new to the forum and posting topics but Ive got a 2007 Octavia Scout and I need to replace the front passenger side wing due to a crash. Ive  found one on ebay for fairly reasonable price (£60) but Ive asked the question as to whether it'll fit mine.

 

Seller has come back to me and asked what model code mine is, i.e. pre face lift or post facelift. Im quite certain mine is pre face lift but how can I establish this ?

 

Any feedback / comments greatly appreciated .

2007 = Mark 2 Pre face lift. The face lift wasn't introduced until 2009

Much appreciated g_tee for the reply, I was quite sure mine was the pre face lift model as I had seen the face lifted models on much later plates than mine. Ill go ahead and get that wing now ! Appreciated man.

If it's already been on a car wouldn't bother with it. More than likely to be out of shape. The wing is bonded across the top on a frame which distorts when you put pressure on to remove. And on the A post top there's a big blob on sealer so more than likely to be bent out. And for the price difference I would buy new.
