LED lights

Featured Replies

Iv put a few led lights in my mk2 and now have the light fault on the dash.

It came up to check number plate lights.

All the bulbs are canbus error free. Is there anything i can do to get the light off and keep the bulbs in?

Thanks in advance

VCDS can be used to turn off number plate checking.

John, unfortunatly coding them out with VCDS only works on the latest cars, older cars have to run with piggy backed w5w bulbs / resistors iff you want the light out.

how old is the car?

Not 100% sure what MY the coding worked.

Nice little mod that; heard the Seat guys suggest this on my Exeo number plates but first I've seen pics of the mod done - nice and neat :)

I put LED bulbs in my number plate lights & have had no problem with warning lights.....which bulbs did you use? Mine is a 2008 vrs.

I also have canbus friendly LED bulbs in my numberplate lights, had them fitted years and have never had any bulb warning lights come on

Mines an 06 sport

From memory anything before 2009 does not monitor the number plate lights, its between 09 and 2013 (IIRC) where it gets difficult.

I had issues with mine and bought resistors for about £5, 2012 fl model.
