Wax!

Featured Replies

Thinking of treating myself to a new wax. Budget of about £20. I know it's not a huge amount but what do you recommend?

Not really a wax but I like FK1000p.

Failing that CarbonCollective platinum paint isn't that much more than your budget :)

Easy to apply and lasts ages :)

Stretch a few quid more and get Soft99 Fusso Coat!

Tricky one to answer... What have you got already?

What are you looking for? More bling or mainly long term protection? £20-30 opens up a few options.

FK1000p and Collinite 476s are easy starters I guess. Britemax Vantage, R222, Petes 53 are all good too.

Vics concors red, easy to apply and one of the best show waxes and really cheap.

Collinite 845 is a great all rounder with a nice gloss and excellent durability it's around £16 gets a little bit thick in the colder weather and you have to warm it, but other than that it's an almighty wax for the money.

Did you want paste or liquid?

Nice selection.... So what qualities are you after in your next wax?

Something with plenty of gloss and good durability. Considering this time of year

Ok great that narrows it down a little...

Still stand by FK1000p or Collinite ... But also well worth trying Soft99 Fusso.

In budget and offers high gloss and protection. :)

£4.95 delivery so a bit unsure. The wax itself is only £23 delivered. Plus I have BSD so don't need the QD

Shame about the postage.

I have both and actively use both; so whatever you choose - you should be happy! :)

I use FK1000p on silver and white cars.

I bought Fusso Dark for my blue and black cars.

I find Collinite 845 has good durability & looks.

Might be worth popping on Facebook & seeing if you can buy a part used pot of something. You might get a £40/£50 wax for your budget.

Any more votes for either FK1000 or Fusso?

FK1000 is a sealant, Fusso is IMO a hybrid ie wax with sealant properties. Having used both they are very similar. Both are massive tins & will last you many years.

Fusso
