Wheel bolt covers

Featured Replies

Anyone have info for these covers in respect of the fact there are two types 16 normals and 4 locking ones just that "and I know it may sound stupid", am sure you can get them in different colours and finishes and am considering if they fit, using the same gloss black ones that where fitted to my wife's old fabia vrs but don't want to end up buying a full set of bolts and caps like I did when trying to source them a couple of years ago when trying to replace a couple of lost /stolen ones genuinely think I was robbed by dealer but maybe that's the only way you can get them???

Getting a different set of wheels and defo think the black covers will work better depending on price may have other plans as we'll

Any info part numbers gratefully appreciated

Am sure av seen this elsewhere and did do a search here but may have been vw forum sorry if it's a repeat!

Can you not take one of your MkII Scout and try them on the MkIII vRS?

If it fits then you can order a new full set in confidence?

Anthracite:

Locking: 4F0 601 173 A

Non-locking: 321 601 173 B

Black (note matt black not gloss):

Locking: 4F0 601 173

Non-locking: 321 601 173 A

Anthracite fitted to VRS. Black fitted to Leon FR. Both interchangeable.

That's brill and am right in saying these are just caps not bolts as well?

Could have sworn that wife's fabia vrs had gloss black caps but black is black especially when tucked down the black alloy wheel hole!

Will I have to go to Seat to order the black ones or is that number ok in skoda???

Thanks for your help

Probably fitted somewhere on a Skoda - ring up parts dept. and see if they can order. Part numbers for plastic caps only. Alternatively see if there is a trade part specialist (all of VW Audi Group spares) near to you. Just get them to check the colour code.

I haven't clarified with a parts dept. but I don't think the last letter in these part numbers refers to the colour, based on below link its the Rev no. of the part and that its the next 3 letters which refer to Color.

Here’s what I have currently on the car (note the colour code isn't referenced on part);

Standard caps with car  = 321 601 173B….look like Anthracite (maybe called Matt Grey)

Locking Nut cap  = 4F0 601 173A…..look like Matt Black

                                                Locking Nut kit 000071597C]

I am trying to get a full set of Matt Black OR Full set of Anthracite

This site suggests Matt Black code= 01C http://meister.us.com/shop/wheel-spacers-bolts/17mm-lug-bolt-caps-321-601-173a-01c/

Another location suggested that Matt Grey code = Z37

I haven't been able to verify with a parts dept .but my guess is as follows

Matt Grey

321 601 173B Z37 (x16) cover standard nuts

4F0 601 173A Z37 (x4) cover locking  nuts …………..OR should this be 4F0 601 173B Z37

Matt Black

321 601 173B 01C (x16) cover standard nuts …………..OR should this be 321 601 173A 01C

4F0 601 173A 01C (x4) cover locking  nuts

God323, if you do get any more info please post up.

There is a Gloss black locknut cover, well the one I seen was for a different/smaller diameter bolt and would not fit mine

Yeah have found numerous aftermarket sets on flea bay but they tend to be just 20 x hex bolt covers where as I need the lock bolt cover too but thanks to this forum looks like I will be able to get the right stuff!!!

I got coloured ones off flea bay, which only fit normal bolts then I just coloured the locking ones already standard to match
