Sorry, there seems to be a problem with new topics, post below, thank you :-)

Hi all

A mate has a problem with his Golf which has the 1.4 twin charged engine in, I'll post his message he sent me below but was hoping someone on here might be able to confirm what the problem is please?

Many thanks in advance

"it's engine management light is on when it's cold works fine but after 20 minutes of driving it won't go past the supercharger. 3000rpm is all I get out of her and that's foot to the floor but if I turn her off and back on it works again as if there was no problem from what I have read up on vw Audi and skoda cars with that engine have all had the same problem but no one seems to know what's wrong with it but the majority have said its the n75 valve which is on the turbo you can get it on eBay for 35 bucks and it's easy enough to fit my self as I have had a look and it's just there at the top of the engine"

Sounds like a sensor issue to me - but i'm not uptospeed on this engine and common issues.

Get VCDS plugged in and log the faults or capture the fault condition i guess....
