Snowfoam recomendations.

Featured Replies

I'm new to using snowfoam but what are people using? How do you find it? Thanks in advance.

Bilt Hamber Autofoam for me, it's not a thick gloopy foam. It sticks to the car & runs off nicely. This means it softens the dirt up good ready for pressure washing off. It doesn't hang around on the drive like some foams.

+1 on the Bilt Hamber, for just the same reasons. I had some Autobrite foam and that was still on the drive a day later in cold weather! Valet Pro Ph Neutral is another good one, but it needs a thorough shake before use, as it has a tendency to separate.

+1 for Valet Pro ph neutral :)

+2 for valet pro ph neutral snowfoam.

Cool thanks very much guys. Just new to this so wanted to get a feel of what people were using.

Whilst I've only ever used one brand and therefore have nothing to compare it to, I use Ultimate Snow Foam. I find it to be very good, particularly when used on well protected paintwork. Its pretty cheap on Ultimate Finish too, with free delivery on orders over £30 (though be warned delivery isn't quick. At all).

I'd also recommend Mr pink by chemical guys.

Bilt Hamber stuff is brilliant - I was lucky enough to be a tester back when it was launched, and ave been a convert every since! Surfex HD is also THE best degreaser that also happens to be about the best cvalue as you can clean serious oil at crud with a solution as dilute as 5%. Brilliant stuff.

Valet Pro pH Neutral Snow Foam

I have just ordered 5 litres of the same stuff from CYC.  I made a foolish error at Halfords by buying "snow foaming action shampoo" ....  It was a little bit pants when put through my lance LOL  :D

I have used ultimate SF, Valet pro ph neutral and Autobrite Magifoam. Of the 3 IMO the valet pro is the best compromise cost vs performance as it's around 1/2 the price of the magifoam but I can't tell if there's any difference in foam thickness, plus it smells better. Although its the cheapest the Ultimate sf isn't as thick in the same concentration.

50 Cal Detailing Ambush Superfoam - good cleaning and smells of Bubblegum

Probably a bit pricey against others but I like it.

Still have a selection of Autobrite Foams in various colours and it does a good job as does their super snow foam.
