Alternative to OEM seats?

Featured Replies

Is there any alternative to OEM seats for Mk1 Fabia. My lower back really hurts during and after long rides, so i am looking for more comfortable seats with lumbal support. Is there any alternative that would fit straight to my car?  Fabia mk2 seats?

Fabia mk2 seats will be a straight swap, not sure if they're any different to the mk1 seats though.

Alternatively mk4 seat Ibiza seats and polo 9n3 seats will be a straight swap.

Also audi a1 front seats are a straight swap. The rears need some work though

Well i would need just front ones, seats are for sure worst part of Fabia mk1.

DO you know, which one is mort comfortable? I know that Octavia Elegance versions offers front seats with lumbal support and these are very comfy.

Unfortunately the octavia ones aren't a straight swap.

There is a guide how to make them fit, or golf recaros

Audi A1 are comfy, also have lumbar support on both front seats :)

You can get some second hand adjustable Recaro leather seats pretty cheap. At leas around here they don't cost that much and are pretty comfty.

As Kev said, I find the Audi A1 seats are far more comfortable than the standard seats. Really hug you more, plus lumbar support makes a difference. I have a bad back so can definitely say they are better!

do the rear seats fit from the A1

No. The rear frames need chopping, as where they clip in and pivot from is different. Have a look at my project thread for more info and pictures. Or Kev has done a specific thread on it a while back...

Just to throw in a curve ball, I've been offered a pair of Recaros from a Fiesta RS Turbo quite cheap; would they fit, and would a special subframe / mounting kit be required?

Only ask as I've always found Recaros supremely comfortable, and the Fiesta is a similar size to the Fabia....
