I own Octavia mk3 1.8 tsi

 

I have enabled needle sweep with vcds (this way: Controller 17 - Instruments - 07 - Coding - Byte 1 - Enable Bit 0 - Gauge Test/Needle Sweep (Staging) active)

 

the issue I have is that it works sporadically. I can have it working 10 times in a row and than not working for days and than working again. it can also work and not work in a matter of minutes.

 

I thought it might be related to the lights but moving the light between on auto and off has no affect. another thing I noticed is that when I unlock the car the needles light up.

 

anyone has any idea what can cause this issue? is there something I might need to disable in order for this to work properly?

 

btw I had it working on my 1.4 tsi VW scirocco and had no issues.

did you ever figure anything out relating to this? I just enabled mine on ODBEleven and i have only seen it go once
