High pressure fuel pump upgrade.

Featured Replies

For those of you who have had there HPFP upgraded which upgrade did you go for? So far I've seen 3 different types the Autotech kit, APR pump and the LOBA Motorsport pump. Any feed back greatly appreciated.

I have looked at the Autotech kit for mine, when I get chance I will defo be fitting that. Garage where I go fitted 1 to an Ed30 a few weeks ago and it made a massive difference mid range. Depends what your budget is, I know it's a good piece of kit but the Loba pump just seems way too expensive.

Yeah the Autotech kit is the way I'm looking at going provided there are no horror story's that crop up. I've seen a few how to guides and it seems simple enough to fit.

The safest way to go about this would be to avoid fitting new internals, like Autotech, and KMD to a used or even new pump. There's great danger of damaging the fuel pump seal, which would lead to fuel leakage and oil dilution. The safest way to go is the APR,Integrated Engineering,Loba or HPFP route, and not necessarily in that order.
