Woo hoo build finally confirmed!

Featured Replies

Finally, my cars build is locked in, and scheduled.

Week 38, day 5, number 8641, yr 2014

Long wait for a car ordered may 7 (WK 15).....

Does day 5 mean Friday? I hope they don't have POETS (**** off early, tomorrows Saturday) and rush the car!

Just have the ~10wk ship/truck journey after that. Hoping to get it before Xmas.

Annoying that a (roughly) se spec car has taken this long...... I can see some light now

 Yes "day 5" equals Friday.

Don't worry they won't "rush it". Vehicles move down assembly lines at a fixed pace. There is enough time for the fitters to do each job at each station. Modern vehicle manufacturing techniques include complex systems to ensure correct-components-at-line, staff are well trained and well tooled,  and "quality gates" are one advanced technique which (in my experience) virtuallly elimiates the "Friday lemon theory". Rest easy mate.

I saw told my week 41 built car would be ready at the dealership in the first of November! Hopefully that is not a fiction and yours arrives earlier than you expect too!

Problem with living down under is it's bloody miles from anything. Hence the huge shipping times
