darksides boost pipes

Featured Replies

Hi, guys i fitted my boost pipes from darkside tonight and the one with the boost sensor in it is in the way of my headlight i have xenons by the way any advise would be great.

Is the washer jet in the way?

no washer jets on them as i bought them off ebay and just plugged them in its hitting the back of the headlight

On the Darkside website it states the hard pipe kit does not fit Fabias with Xenons...

Wonder if it fits if you have depo xenons with no washer system?  They almost look like normal headlights from the back.

anyone wanna buy my genuine skoda xenons?

I have the retrofit Xenons and the Darkside top boost pipe fouled the light cover.

Darkside did the fitting as part of a GTB turbo package They just cut a chunk out of the cover to get it to fit. I wasn't particularly happy as this left the inners of the headlight prone to dust and condensation. I purchased a new rear cover and took the car back. They removed the bumper again and made a new boost pipe that fitted then re-fitted the bumper and new cover.

THIS PIPE KIT WILL NOT FIT VEHICLES WITH XENON HEADLIGHTS AND HEADLIGHT WASHER SYSTEM

This warning does not show if viewing the mobile version of the website.

Just for info.

So in theory a new kit would clear the depo headlight. :)  As long as they used the same "new" pipe they fitted to yours.

Likewise. Be nice to see your motor.

best place to get some depo headlamps??

Ebay. There was a group buy running for them too.

think they sold me the old pipework in talks with them atm will update on what happens

after talking with darkside they have confirmed they will NOT fit if you have xenons

We have not supplied the incorrect kit. You have OEM Xenon Headlights. All our kits have been fitted to cars with Stock or DEPO Headlights

They are not a poor design. If the car had Xenons from the Factory, it would hit the washer jets before you even got the pipe in.

So it is not a poor design, it is just not designed to fit with the setup you have. Just like if someone tried to fit it with a different intercooler, it would not fit.

I have checked with a few other customers we have fitted them to, and they were all DEPO Headlights, not the OEM Xenons.

If you had sent photos, we could have assessed and then suggested what to do, including you possibly bringing the car here for us to modify, jig and then fit a new pipe.

Thanks

Scott @ Darkside

Supply seems to have dried up unfortunately. I wish I'd have bought some sooner now... :(

Well, saying that... there's another thread from a few days ago where someone has found some. They may not be the black masks though, which is what I'm looking for.
