hyundai remap advice

Featured Replies

Having recently gone to Mansfield to change our scout for a 63 yeti I realised that its not that far and that a trip to shark would be easier than I had thought. Now they have obd remaps just need the sts switchable option to be finallised and thats the yeti sorted, along with a 312 brake upgrade.

So back to point of thread need a suitable option for the santa fe. Its a 14 so not sure it has the bosch ecu anymore, anyone know? This to would ideally be obd and switchable I see that superchips do a straight remap, but not bluefin. ... cant really find any quality tuners. Shame shark dont do korean....

At this stange no tuning boxes please. Although im aware that this maybe my only route for a switchable option.

All thoughs welcome...

Try giving TDI North in Warrington a call, they specialise in Japanese cars but would probably be able to advise you on the Hyundai

We might be able to help with the Kia, most of them do use Bosch ECUs but we'd need to see it to be sure.

More info, just spoke with Superchips and they said that as far as they can see the engine is the same for both the 2009 - 2012 as for 2012+, ie both bosch ecu's.

They also said that they require ecu removal for remap.

I believe that this is good news.

Better news is that Shark might be able to help also....

Guess that I just need to locate the ECU and find some numbers......

Ben?,

Had a look tonight, ecu has 0281019026 on it which google suggests is a EDC17_CP14?

Also the turbo has 28231-2f750 which google suggests is a GTB1752VKL.

Does this sound about right?

Off topic Ben, did you get my email?

I don't know, I'll check. I'm often very behind on my emails
