New skoda safety feature?

Hola,

Found out today that when I go on one of the uks autobahns and go upwards of 70mph and try and brake then the car vibrates quite harshly, but only above 70.

This a new safety feature or just my car?

If it is my car any ideas?

I have slowed down from much higher speeds, with the car staying solid throughout.

Warped discs a possibility?

Could be a sticky caliper. Causes extra friction. At high speeds this causes enough heat to warp the disc slightly.

Warped disks aren't so common. I've had warped disks and as said above it was a faulty calliper that did it.

 

It's usually pad deposits building up.

I had that for a while on my VRS after I put on Pagid pads and disks but some antisocial braking sorted it out. Try that first when it's quiet. Brake a few times as hard as you can without the ABS cutting in. Get 'em nice and hot.

 

See if that makes it better.
