Radio problem

Featured Replies

Hi all

U have a felicia 95 LXi 1.3 an would like a bit of advice.

I know nothing about cars so am very sorry if it seems like a silly question.

About 3 weeks ago the radio stopped coming on. Thought it would be a fuse and thought nothing more of it until a week later I lost all power.

Turned out the ignition coil had gone, so the garage replaced it.

When u collected it the radio was working again, I hadn't mentioned this to the garage so just assumed they were connected somehow.

Today tho the radio will not come on again.

My question is, would these two be connected somehow, ignition coil and radio, or is the radio on a completely separate relay so could just perhaps be temperamental / fuse needing replaced?

Thank you so much to anyone who answers, I really appreciate the help.

Kwik

The ignition coil is important for the firing of the spark plugs on the engine, rather than anything relating to the electrical system for the stereo.

Have you tried removing the stereo to check if the connections are secure in the rear of the unit? On some occasions, not so much now, the radio's had an independant fuse.

Check none of the fuses have blown in the fuse box too.

Is it an original Skoda / Blaupunkt radio? Or a different make?

Hope that is some use, I am sure other more knowledgable members will be along soon!
