Currently own an edition 30 golf but looking at a new Octavia VRS DSG petrol hatch as the boot is massive and is why it is being replaced.

This site came highly recommended.....................so I joined.

 

Been doing research and looking at a high spec factory order with leather but heard bad things about early wear on the driver bolster??

 

Any experiences on what to avoid?

 

DSG, any known issues?

 

I only do 7,000 miles a year so a diesel seems pointless but I drove a DSG diesel estate and was very impressed :clap:

Hi Bren,

 

i own a Fabia VRS 180bhp with the DSG gerabox and to be honest most of the time i stick it in drive and go. It is superb and when i bimble back from work at 3.00am i cna easily get 40mpg. 

I have just bought an 03 Octavia VRS and i have got to say i am well impressed with the VAG Skodas.
