Oops - broke a tail light!

Featured Replies

Putting a small bookcase into the back of the Citigo (remarkable how roomy it is with the rear seats folded!) I managed to punch a hole straight through the drivers side rear lamp cluster with one the legs of the bookcase.

The lights lens is (to quote Monty Python) "wafer thin" plastic so I'm not surprised it broke.

Onto Eurocarparts website immediately and I could not believe my luck - they have an on-line discount on the rear light cluster for the Citigo at the moment - down from £43 down to just £29 - result!!  Skoda quoted me £43.50.

The light unit is easily removed, just a bit fiddly getting the wiring connector off.

Plenty of room in the rear, not quite the full set but I managed a dining table (legs off) and three chairs in the back of mine. The fourth chair did go in but touched the rear window so took it out for the next trip.

Wow, that's quite a bootful!!

I've had the clusters off before (fitting LED tail lamps etc.) and you're right, they are a doodle once you've got the connector apart.

New cluster should be here tomorrow fingers crossed.
