Windscreen washer reservoir removal 1.9TdiPD - ASZ engine- Help please

Featured Replies

Thought that I posted this yesterday, my first ever attempt so this may be a duplicate. Apologies if that is so.

The windscreen washer 'bottle' is leaking from somewhere and empties itself overnight and drips can be seen from under the front air dam.

As an OAP I can't get under the car like I used to so I don't know the specific location of the leak. The Haynes manual is not very helpful (chapter 12.16) as it has no good pictures or hints. I have removed the screws to allow the coolant bottle to be moved a little, and also the diesel filter holder.

However the manual then refers to two  plastic nuts but I can only see one. When this is removed it is possible to ease the securing lug on the bottle off of the stud with a little brute force but then it will not move and it does not seem possible to remove it anyway as it extends under the wing and there is no room in the engine bay to make it clear the wing.

Can anyone help with their knowledge/experience.
