Hi all,

My father is having trouble with the Swing radio in his Yeti. My nephew decided it'd be a good idea to feed a few coins into the CD player and now there's no audible output from it. CD player spins, but no volume, can't change radio channels, etc.

I've had the radio out and there's a bit of a "magic smoke"/burnt component smell - working in electronics and having had a look I'd say it's only fit for the bin as it'd be uneconomic to repair.

My question is this: there's a load of swing radios for sale on eBay, etc. but most are from other models of skoda (lots from Superbs, Fabias, Rapids). I've noticed that the mounting is slightly different - the other models have wings/tabs protruding past the outer fascia of the radio, but we had to remove the actual radio fascia to get the Swing out of the Yeti. Does anyone know if these models of Swing radio will fit the Yeti?

I've got the swing from my 2014 Yeti if your looking for a good condition one, as I put a Bolero unit in. I could talk you through fitting, it's a 20min job.

I personally would upgrade. I've just fit a Sony WX-GT90BT. Excellent reviews and £200 all in including leads and fitting. Gives me everything the Swing doesn't. Bluetooth, voice control, aux. usb etc. etc.
