Noisy cabin - rattles!

Featured Replies

Hi all

Had the F/L Octy for a couple of months now, and i'm loving almost everything about it... apart from some serious rattles in the cabin. The drivers door card is continually squeaking/rattling, and there appears to be movement in the corner of the dash on the passenger side.

I know a car can be noisy, but this is much much worse than my pre-f/l I had for several years (and had covered over 105k when I swapped it in).

I think i'm more annoyed as this car has only done 20k!!!

Any similar experiences/advice?

Cheers in advance,

Dave

Loose screw/bolt behind glove box, produces a squeak. Common on these cars!

If tightening the loose screw does not fix it, you can try stuffing some fibreglass net (mosquito window net) between the windshield and the back of the dash on the passenger side. That fixed it for me in the end.

Brilliant, thanks for the info - I'll have a look and see what I can do. I guess it will be similar with the door card as well?
