Removing cv boot grease

Featured Replies

I noticed this morning my wheel covered in black looking grease. To cut a long story short my cv boot split and the grease has gone everywhere. Whats best to remove it? Will it just blast off with a pressure washer?

You will probably get some off blasting with pressure washer. But you will need to use a degreaser to break it down & wash off. Some agitation with a brush will be needed. Depending on how bad it is you will probably have to do it a few times as it will tend to smear.

Brake cleaner and blue roll will get rid of it ;-)

Same happened to me the day before yesterday ;-)
