Welcome to the forum.

I would advise you call Skoda UK Customer Services.

Check what warranty work has been done.

See if the Service Campaign Work has been done,

& it had a Service Schedule regime done.

Get a warranty, or buy an extended warranty, and then see it is a good one before you modify.

You need to be sure that it is running a standard ECU Map if you want Skoda to honour the Warranty.

See if it has had an Oil Consumption test done, and Breather Pipe / Valve mod or a Replacement engine.

A new engine is OK, but if it was a Oil user and never had Warranty Work done or completed, that can be a problem possibly.

slightly more than 2 out of 10 have had engines replaced out of the 1,800 cars registered in the UK

2010-2012.
