I want this!

Mine was a Metro which suffered from knackered hydragas suspension. I hope it's having a ball in scrap heap heaven because that's where it should be.

Me too. The suspension leaked on one side so I spent most of my time driving at an angle. Turning right was a bit scary due to ludicrous body roll, but you could go left OK.

My first car was a 1971 Triumph Herald 13/60 FYW 895J. We discovered after buying it that the outriggers had rusted away but new ones were welded in. I can't remener how long i kept it but the second car was a 1980 Austin Allegro which become a money pit. Even the garage told me to sell it!

I still fancy a Triumph Vitesse Mk2.....which is like a Herald only classier.

Wouldn't thank you for my first car again - Ford fiesta 1.1 Popular Plus as per the link.

Used to take about that long to start as well.

Wings felt like they were trying to part company with the rest of the car

Door handles that wouldn't work (ended up having to wind the windows down to reach the outer handle to get out.

Still it got me to work and was cheap!

I'd have my pale blue1960 Ford Anglia 997cc back in a flash if was possible.

My first car was a Ford Zodiac 1954 in Canterbury Green and Dorchester Grey OND 596. Teenage good years and then some. Y junction in exhaust to run Open Pipe. Air Horns. Leather Seats.

I do miss my 1994 Audi 80 avant road sofa. It was full of problems but took all the abuse I threw at it and was a bargain at £600
