B pillars

Featured Replies

So i bought some good quality wrap and had an attempt at re-wrapping my 2x front door pillars as the Factory fitted stuff was peeling/flaking off,

i bought some 3M 1080 Gloss black vinyl wrap to replace the matted looking rubbish that came from factory.

I grabbed the missus hairdryer (much to her disgust) ran outside and slapped the stuff on, turned out quite nicely, just gotta do the back 2 now :). Think i may have caught the bug for wrapping things now though, my eyes keep being drawn to random parts of our cars and i keep wondering what i could wrap next :D .

Nice work. Can I just ask, the piece of black trim underneath that you have to take off to get under with the wrap has a small line about 3 mm into it, does this come off to let you take the strip off? Because when I had mine done in the factory wrap because it flaked off they left it sticking up and I suspect that this piece is broken.

All you have to do is drive the window down, and pull up the bottom seal, it comes straight up, i pryed mine just far along enough to be out of the way, it has a metal fold inside the actual strip which gives it the rigidity, when you pull it up it can bend this metal strip but its just a case of bending it back into the right shape and pressing it back down onto the door when you put it back, couldnt be easier, i could post some pics to show if u would like?

If you could that would be helpful, Mine is stuck up and I've been trying to glue it down thinking that this end piece must have been what held it down somehow.

If you would be able to post pictures up that would probably help me, thank you.
