Skoda superb upgraded speakers

Featured Replies

Hi can anybody help. I have the upgraded sound system with 10 speakers which sounds ok but not great. I want to keep the existing Columbus and amp.Would a speaker upgrade significantly improve the sound quality if so what size and type would you recommended or any other route to take. I believe the front speakers are of 3 components to complicate things even further. Many thanks for any help.

I asked this question back in 2010 and again about 12-18 months later but sadly never got an answer :( Personally, I think the speakers are the weak link in the system and with the addition of some dynomat and replacement speakers would produce sound in another league. :)

Interesting, have never used dynomat or heard results from using it. Thanks for the tip.

about 10k miles ago I started to get slight vibrations through two of the internal door panels when the track contained low bass - a few bits of dynomat or similar in the right places would cure that IMO and doing it around the speaker mounts will only help make the most of any new speaker units :)

Do we know the sizes of the three front speakers?

No unable to find that info without taking door to bits, catch 22 situation as I do not want to do that if there will be no improvement even though I am sure there would be.
