insurance question

Featured Replies

I have just gotten a new car and have less then 2 months remaining on my old policy, and still have my old car on  there.

I need to get my new car insured asap but my current company want over 100 to add it to the insurance for less than a couple of months, and new policys are coming in around the 700 mark is there any company which I can use to insure my new car and add the no claims onto from the other company while still in use by the other company if that makes sense

I also need to leave old car insured until it sells

The normal solution is to switch the cover to the new car and then just keep the old one on there as a 'temporary additional vehicle'. This is suitable for short periods only like a couple of weeks at a time.

I tried doing this a month ago when my car broke down but they said no so doubt they will do it now

If it was for a car you didn't own they wouldn't do it. You have to own the vehicle to be able to insure it on your policy.

skoda will mirror your NCD im with swiftcover who do if your other car is with swiftcover

phoned up for my 7 day free cover and skoda will do it as well was a bit cheaper with all extras and genune skoda repair etc
