Hi guys can't figure out how the centre, drivers and passenger heater vents come out on the octavia's.

From memory, tape the edge of the dash so you don't mark it, and gently pry it out, starting a little each side until it is free.

the vents have 2 lugs (top and bottom) that the metal clips into the dash.

 

You kinda need to carefully lift up the soft dash with a flat screwdriver to expose the plastic lugs and at same time prize out each corner.

 

It is really hit and miss till you know where the lugs are to be able to pop out cleanly.

 

Then the metal clips tend to ping off as the vent is released so keep eye out for them as needed to re fit.  

 

taping edges of dash is  a good idea to protect from scratches and screwdriver marks

Shows locations of the clips. I found best thing to use was a thin and blunt butter knife but it's not easy by any means. Also note that you can quite easily lose the clips down the dash if you're not careful so might be worth having a magnet on a stick handy

butter knifes are the best imo....yes in that post I showed the exact position of the clips

2 knifes one at top one at bottom at one side,gently pull,then move the knifes to the other 2 clips,and will do the trick nice and safe
