Believe its a coolant temp. sensor fault

Seems to relate to engine temp according to google

P1296......Error in Mapped Cooling System (check Temp-Sensor and Thermostat)

 

has this other month, changed temp sensor and sorted it out

What does the sensor look like is it the two pin green ones??

An OEM one from a Skoda dealer every time.

I had this pop up the other day too.


I cleared it and it hasn't come back. I'll check what the sensor looks like.

I got mine from GSF was about £17

Sorted this today such a simple job, however don't do the man thing and ignore instructions ! Other wise you will learn all about hot coolant lol! Good job I have quick reflexes
