Vrs tyres

Featured Replies

What are people running on their Vrs? I'm after a good tyre that will be good in the wet

I've been very impressed with the conti's that have been on mine since new, but after 22k miles I have a set of Uniroyal rainsport3 that I am getting fitted next week.

Top class in wet, will wear quicker but got for good price on camskill..

Yokohama Parada 2s all round at the moment had them for 3000 miles, not bad skittish under hard breaking great when warm, in the wet not as bad as everyone thinks would have the conti 2s back in a heartbeat.

I have Pirelli P Zero Nero's all round. I've done about 2k on them, no complaints. Certainly on par with the Dunlop's I had on from new.

I have RSR's and they are awesome :) not a wet weather tyre though ;) by all accounts rainsport 3's are the best for that, and quite cheap, but wear quick!

Thanks for the ideas. A woodster u will have let me know how the uniroyal's are lol

I really rate avon zz5's afforable and excellent dry and wet grip.

So just had rain sport 3 fitted today. So far ride seems smoother and certainly less noise, to early to say about grip since only covered around 100 miles in them today. BTW opted for 215 all round which I think look better and will protect the alloys more from scuffing.

Just fitted my winter wheels and I need 2 new summer tyres for the Fabia, any recommendations?

I am looking for good grip rather than good price, I have got the Sport contact 2 it came with on at the moment (on the summer wheels) but was wondering if there was something with better grip as its all to easy to wheel spin unless its a dry road.

anyone tried Sport Contact 5, is it any improvement on the 2?

Nexen tyres, summer version ie N'Fera and Wingaurds for winter.

As with all cars what is very important is that you have 3 mm plus tread depth on the tyres and for the Fabia VRS have as little weight as possible in the boot and rear of the car to keep as much weight on the front wheels.
