1st day report

Featured Replies

picked my black edition 3 door up this morning and 1st impressions are great thought id post my findings this is my 1st skoda had vw seat and audi in past so got to say customer experience much better than the other 3 so far .

a bit of background i bought the car as a runabout my other cars a Toyota GT86 and thought id get a cheap runabout for winter months commuting  and taking dog to beach etc .

i bought car blind never test drove a citigo or any of its cousins nor did i see the car till pickup this morning  i bought a used up last week from a VW dealer who called back half hour later to tell me it had been sold earlier in day so i popped in to look at a used 10 plate fabia and possibly used base model up's and citigo in local dealer but with the extras and 0% deal with servicing it seemed better to buy it new

  • very comfortable has plenty of power more than i expected im 6'2 and can easily get comfy gear change is super smooth stearing and handling are great
  • garmin move and fun very handy like the digital rev counter and temp guage feels like a skyline
  • boot is massive for such a small car much better than the mini's ive had in past
  • done 100 miles and fuel guage hasnt moved computer says 50mpg which is ace
  • everything feels extremely well screwed together

gripes

  • nothing really dont like not having hook for filler cap in fuel flap
  • cant hear the satnav nor just use the maps without a destination but i imagine thats just a setting somewhere or other
  • drl lights are like candles but i knew that from here so already ordered the led replacements

overall im over the moon with it got rubber mats and paint protection thrown in as the skoda will have to stay outside and being black can be a pain to keep clean and shiny

if your in or around north devon and see a black ltd edition

Looks sporty with the black wheels and tinted windows. Have you tried turning up the sat navigation volume

found it now i couldnt see it while i was out and about

done 150 miles today driving around its great and considering my GT86 is more than 3 times more powerful it doesn't feel slow at all

there are two cut outs on the fuel cap

these allow it to be hooked on the filler flap

I was reading this and nodding my head as I was also annoyed there was no place to hang the fuel cap! But bluecar1 has confirmed there is!

Guess I just need to play around a bit more to get it to hook properly!

page 140 in the manual shows the cap on the top edge of the flap

:)

its that thing in the glove box you use to stop the table wobbling in the kitchen :)

or to read when swmbo's nagging stops you sleeping

will go and hide now

To use the sat nav without a destination, go to Navigation -> More functions -> Show map (that's off the top of my head, it may be slightly different).

Strange that your DRLs were so dim. I don't doubt you, because others on here have said the same. But the DRLs on my Black Edition, which I picked up a week ago, are surprisingly white and bright. I was going to order LED DRLs but don't see the point now.

Looks great! Have you got DAB?

Have you got DAB?

Don't think you can get DAB in a Citigo yet, although VW have just made DAB standard across the range so I doubt it is far away.

I was just checking as all the other Black Editions do! Would make me more jealous...
