Just a quickie, which terminal do you disconnect first when removing the battery?

You disconnect the Positive terminal first.  For safety.  then the negative.

even though i have done this all my mechanicing life.

So disconnect the Negative / Ground first.  Doh, sorry.

you disconnect THE NEGATIVE first for safety

you disconnect the positive first for not giving a f$#@$ is the terminal touches the body and make a short

Thanks fellas, i only asked as on my old escort it said positive first in the manual but I had heard some cars were negative first
