  • I hear you on that front, but the compression ratio of your MP3 music is in your own hands if you know what you're doing - so it can still be set quite high. And to be honest in a car with all the oth

My dealer told me if I wanted to use mirrorlink I would have to buy a licence of him

My Audi A2 had a BOSE system and having been in many other A2s without, the BOSE was amazing. If you turned it up when parked it could make the interior mirror vibrate.

Loud ≠ good sound quality!  (The spotty youth with the massive subwoofer in the boot of his souped up* Saxo can make the interior mirror vibrate - and probably make the windows fall out - but it still actually sounds rubbish.)

Did he give you a cost on the licence?, I have a April 2015 yeti with mirrorlink but don't seem to be able to get a cost for the licence or an idea of which android phones it will work with, its great they put the technology in there but you would hope they would tell the dealers how to sell it to the customer.......

I had a device that had Mirrorlink but I didn't know what it meant. In case it meant that the car was watching me and reporting back to HQ I googled it. Oh how I wish I hadn't! I had to resort to my blood pressure medication within 5 mins of starting to read it and dozed off 5 mins later!

I refer to the answer I got from a waiter in New York a few years ago when I asked what a certain item on the menu was. He replied "If you want it order it, If you don't, don't ask!
