Hi Folks,

 

fitted a new single mass flywheel and clutch kit last night to my 54 plate ASZ engined VRS 6 speed due to the clutch majorly slipping above 2000rpm,

 

it now makes a really crunchy rattling noise between 1000-2500rpm now it drives fine selects gear great pulls well,

 

is this because the single mass flywheel?

 

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Yep, solid flywheel chatter, it's why the gearbox was designed with a dual mass flywheel.

It's well documented anyway, even people paying extra for a silent solid flywheel will get chatter.
