I've had some 215/40/17 Rain Sport 3 fitted and was wondering if anyone could advise on what the pressure should be, should I be putting in the same, more or less?

So I've managed to track down VW polo tyre pressures, does this sound right as seems quite high?

 

Tyre pressure for VOLKSWAGEN Polo V GTI 1.4 TSI 180 (2009) Front tyre pressure : 2.7 bars Rear tyre pressure : 2.5 bars Front tyre pressure (loaded vehicle) : 2.9 bars Rear tyre pressure (loaded vehicle) : 3.1 bars

Look in the fuel filler flap at the recommended pressures for your car. No need to change the tyre pressure because you have 215/40 17 on instead of 205/40 17

Thanks, standard is front 36 rear 34 PSI.

F1 said they'd put 33 in but checked tonight and 29 all round, no wonder I was lovin the cushions over the bumps. I'll see how 36 and 34 go and hopefully come Friday evening they'll be just about wore in. Thanks all.

Sounds like their equipment needs calibrating
