Xenon headlight adjustment

Featured Replies

My headlights are pretty rubbish.

How do i know what is right? One is higher than other and they seem to be pretty dull when driving on the road.

Looks ok to me! Make sure the lenses are clean and no condensation, they should be crystal clear, no hazing or yellowing.

There not lines up together and see to have a lot of light going towards passenger side.

Phil take it too the local skoda dealer as will need to be put on a headlight machine and plugged into vcds for learn mode

Headlamp beam pattern isn't supposed to be level, iirc.

Longer illumination needed kerbs, pavements, etc for the N/S.

Im thinking of geting them aligned and upgrading too some Osram Nightbreakers. But there £95 for the pair. Only issue is dealer is 40miles away. I have vagcom to adjust with but not sure what is correct

The beam pattern looks ok, should have 15 degree kick upwards on the left hand side of the beam. Just follow the guide for headlight adjustment on the Ross-tech wiki, if you are still not happy with the level of light, try some new HID bulbs, they dim with age, suggest you try fairly cheap ones from the Internet first.

That's funny, friends octavia also has one higher than other, worse even as it's his drivers side
