Columbus "mix"

Featured Replies

The "Mix" function on the Columbus. It doesn't do a very good job does it.

I have a folder that contains 4 or 5 subfolders. There are 2 music files in the root of the top folder.

The Columbus does mix the tracks after a fashion but - the 2 tracks in the root directory are continually played maybe after 7 or 8 other tracks (only to be expected I suppose) but the music played from the sub folders doesn't seem to be mixed very well. Some of the tracks are played regularly whilst others never seem to be played at all....

I'm also not convinced the mix works properly even with files in the root as you have. I think it can only cope with a limited number of folders/files and then it resets in some way. Maybe I am wrong but thats my experience ....

For some reason it doesn't like reading any media in the root folder, Keep away from this and you should be fine. I have no problems.

I haven't tried this put yet. But I can see why your having problems as it's too many sub folders

I've found Mix to be rubbish even with all files in a single folder.

It seems to have it's own 'favourites' and plays them far more often than other tracks.
